The Safe Summer giving campaign will fund our entire summer program for Pitch In students. Our 5-week summer program will be packed with art, technology, entrepreneurship, creativity, and curiosity. Each Pitch In site will host summer programming, led by our Pitch In program managers & staff. Pitch In students will enjoy engaging activities, daily meals, and weekly field trips around Chicago.

2022 Pitch In Summer Program: The Power of Art

Art has the power to make tangible change in our communities. Through public art, we can celebrate our identities, raise awareness for social issues, and build community connections. During the 5 week program, students will engage in project-based learning. They will design, create, and build a product that is meant to solve a problem that they observe in their own lives. The goal is for students to create a business motto, a “pitch,” explore what it means to create the solution to a problem, be a business owner, and market your product or service. In addition to building out their own projects, students will have the opportunity to learn from Chicago entrepreneurs of color

Program Field Trips

During the program, students will participate in weekly field trips across Chicago. These outings will tie into the summer program theme and are completely free to participants. Thanks to your support!
